Blair Stockwell MBE

Olympian and Commonwealth Games medalist, Blair was the founding President of Lifecycle Cycling Club.

He stepped down from President in 2014 but continues to serve the club as Patron, Life Member, coach and riding buddy.

Former owner of Lifecycle (the former shop located at Normanby five ways) Blair now resides on the Gold Coast from where he posts Instagram photos of surf and quiet hinterland roads.

Wendy, as foundation Club Secretary, and husband Jim worked tirelessly to help establish the fledgling cycling club.

In 2016 Wendy was made a Life Member of the club and the mini-classic, a shorter road race – one lap of the Lifecycle Classic course – is named in her honour.

Wendy and Jim are enjoying retirement in Brisbane and Wendy still volunteers as a Cycling Australia commissaire.

Peter Goding

Founding treasurer and criterium racer, Peter was somewhat famous for his austerity or as he called it careful financial stewardship and yellow Post-It Notes.

Peter was made a Life Member of the club but returned to his native New Zealand in 2013 to enjoy retirement.

Former president of the club and our chief commissaire. Chris is a Life Member of the club.
